Many organizations find themselves relying on just one or two primary sources of revenue, which can create uncertainty and place pressure on already stretched teams. While those streams may be working for now, they can leave organizations vulnerable to shifts in funding, changing donor behaviour, or broader economic conditions. At the same time, there is often a genuine desire to invite supporters to engage in different ways, but without a clear starting point it can feel overwhelming to know what to pursue and how to begin.
A diversified revenue strategy can strengthen financial stability and open the door for donors to give in ways that feel right for them. It can also deepen relationships and expand your base of support when done with intention and care.
This workshop offers a practical path forward. Together, we will explore options for broadening your revenue mix and look at how to make thoughtful decisions that reflect your organization’s capacity and priorities. There will also be time to reflect on your current efforts and identify what is worth building on.
Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of:
- What revenue streams that are a good fit for their organization
- When to focus on relationship-building and when to prioritize fundraising
- How to create a clear plan and take the first steps to put it into action
- Ways to engage donors in new ways without overextending your team
