Get It Together!
Live Q&A to Explore Personal & Workplace Well-Being

The social sector is known for creating absolute magic when it comes to the way they support their communities. Unfortunately, this magical nature has unconsciously lent itself to the illusion that folks working in the sector are superhuman. The kind of superhuman where staff can just give and give and give without consequence. But there are consequences. We are undermining our people and our work when we are not providing the same level - if not more! - of care, attention and well-being in our internal cultures and environments as we are to the communities we serve.

Join us for a special gathering where we dive deep into personal and workplace well-being. Emily will open the session by sharing her biggest insights, practices, and strategies for finding balance, regulating the nervous system, and staying centered amidst the demands of work in the social sector and life.

The majority of our time will be dedicated to an open Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask your most pressing questions. Think of Emily as your in-house well-being guide—here to offer real-time support, practical tools, and compassionate strategies to help you navigate personal and workplace well-being with more ease and enthusiasm.

Come ready to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversation. We can’t wait to see you there!

. With a deep commitment to holistic well-being and healing, Emily draws from her lived experience and career in supporting communities impacted by trauma.

In 2021, she founded Emily Gibson Consulting to help individuals and organizations thrive and succeed through cultivating safer environments and interactions while bolstering people’s individual and collective capacity for well-being. She spent eight years with Right To Play Canada, most recently as the National Program Director, leading the Indigenous youth life-skills program (PLAY). She worked alongside communities to design tailored life-skills programs. She had the privilege of expanding the PLAY program to Western Canada and was honoured when they gained unanimous endorsements from BC’s First Nation leadership bodies.

Emily’s work is deeply influenced by the teachings of Elders across Turtle Island and her academic pursuits. She holds an M.Ed. with first-class honors from the University of Auckland where her thesis explored Māori approaches to trauma-informed practices in mental health education. Certified in trauma recovery and response (Harvard University), children’s grief (Hinks-Dellcrest) and suicide intervention, she integrates a variety of practical and accessible modalities like intuitive tarot and Reiki into her practice.

Emily divides her time between Coast Salish territory, Aotearoa (New Zealand) and Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island) and finds inspiration and balance in the ocean.
