Monthly Giving: Building Loyalty and Engagement in Your Donor Community

One of the most effective ways to increase donor retention is to convert more of your active donors into monthly supporters. Monthly giving creates a steady foundation for fundraising programs and helps shift donor relationships from one-time transactions into ongoing support.

Monthly supporters sign up to give automatically, making them easier to retain and opening the doors for further engagement. Over time, these donors often become some of the most committed supporters of your organization. They tend to stay longer, give more consistently, and engage more deeply with the mission. Monthly giving also provides a predictable stream of unrestricted revenue that organizations can rely on for planning and day-to-day operations.

Participants will leave with a clear understanding of:

  • Why monthly giving is one of the most effective strategies for improving donor retention and building stable, long-term revenue
  • How to begin converting active donors into monthly supporters using simple, realistic approaches that fit within existing fundraising activities
  • Practical ways to strengthen and grow your monthly giving program over time, including how to increase participation and deepen donor commitment
