Let’s Talk about Trust-Based Philanthropy

Join us for this special Let’s Talk event where we will be engaging a panel of distinguished guests to discuss what trust-based philanthropy means to fundraising and the future of the non-profit industry.

“On stage” will be:

Genesa Greening – President & CEO  BC Women’s Health Foundation

Rudi Wallace – Vice President, Grants & Community  Initiatives Hamilton Community Foundation

Sarah Lyon – Principal  Sargasso Philanthropic CIC (Halifax, NS)

No conversation on trust-based philanthropy can happen without discussing systemic power imbalances and equity issues in funding and the need to centre trust and relationship in the current model. Decolonizing philanthropy also has space in this discussion. What does this all mean? How do we change the narrative? What are practical next steps for moving this forward?

Our panel does not claim to be experts but they all have a commitment to exploring concepts that could improve the sustainability and health of our industry. We invite you to join us!

Time will be provided for Q and A so be sure to bring your questions. You won’t want to miss this!

This event is held over Zoom. Tickets are non-refundable. The event will not be recorded.
